Mt. Lookout Planning & Zoning Information

The MLCC is constantly working to stay up-to-date with the latest policy & regulatory changes that affect Mt. Lookout and its residents. Please see below for some of our current  focus areas:

Community Planning & Zoning Educational Series

At MLCC's Public Meetings, members of our Planning & Zoning Committee will conduct a series of educational sessions. These sessions will focus on Cincinnati land use, zoning code, and related city processes, with emphasis on Mt. Lookout.

Our city is in a period of significant development and growth. We feel it’s important that the Mt. Lookout community understands how Cincinnati planning and zoning code works, and the ways it can impact not only our neighborhood, but also the city as a whole.

Come join the dialogue and bring your questions!

Example topics will include:

    • Overview of zoning and development processes
    • Land use zoning and what it means
    • History of Cincinnati zoning
    • Process paths for new development and modifications
    • New zoning initiatives such as Connected Communities modifications

MLCC Statement Regarding Proposed Development in Hyde Park Square

In recent months the residents of Hyde Park have been engaging with a group of developers with ambitious plans for Hyde Park Square's south side. See more details here. The Hyde Park Neighborhood Council (HPNC) has voted and is opposing the development with City Council and the City Planning Commission.

MLCC supports the HPNC's position and actions.

Due to the overwhelming opposition recent similar proposals in Mt. Lookout Square have elicited from our residents, the Board of the MLCC felt compelled to make an official statement to City Council, City Planning Commission, and others.

How can you provide your own feedback to the City on this matter?

You can email each of the City addresses that the HPNC list on their website.

You can also speak directly to the City representatives. There will be several meetings hosted by the City as part of the process to either approve or deny the zoning variances needed by the developers. Again, you can find more information on HPNC's website.
